During the COVID-19 crisis, we asked families to send the charity some uplifting correspondence so that we can share it with our almshouse and care home residents.
During these difficult times it can be lonely, especially if you are shielding and missing loved ones. It can also be worrying for children, who are missing school, their friends and family members. Our ‘Letters to Lift Spirits’ campaign aims to spread joy and boost moods across the generations.
From letters about life in lockdown to drawings and paintings, we have loved hearing from local people and their little ones, kids and teens!
All post has and continues to be handled with utmost care and then passed on safely to our residents.
We have received some wonderful correspondence, poems, jokes, drawings and handmade cards. A big thank you to everyone who has sent us letters so far! They are wonderful and have really made an impact.
