There are many ways in which you can make a donation. If you have an interest in supporting a particular area of our work, then we can always discuss our current needs with you.
Online
Please visit our page at Charity Checkout by clicking here to find out more about individual fundraising events.
All donations via the Charity Checkout button have been automatically populated to a ‘one-off’ payment. You may also set up a regular payment scheme if you wish. Simply change the donation frequency in the handy drop-down box. Thank you for your time and for your donation!
Cheque or BACS
We are happy to accept cheques payable to ‘St John’s Winchester Ltd’ or if you wish to donate by a BACS payment please email our Finance Director, Nellie Redmond (Nellie.Redmond@stjohnswinchester.co.uk)
Regular Giving
Please consider making a regular gift to St John’s. Regular donations are extremely useful to us as they help us to plan ahead.
If you would like to set up a standing order, please contact our Finance Director, Nellie Redmond on 01962 854226 or email Nellie (Nellie.Redmond@stjohnswinchester.co.uk). Alternatively, please download and complete our Regular Giving form and post it to us at St John’s Winchester, 32 St John’s South, The Broadway, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 9LN.
Leave a Legacy in Your Will
You could also help our work by leaving a legacy in your Will. This would really make a difference to our future, so if you feel able to do so, please do consider it. Our Finance Director, Nellie Redmond can advise on how to do this. If you want to discuss a donation or the making of a Will please get in touch today.
Donate Your Tax Repayments
Our Finance Director, Nellie Redmond, is always happy to discuss tax efficient ways of giving including Gift Aid. You may also consider the Inland Revenue scheme for those completing a self-assessment tax return, under which any tax repayment can be donated to St John’s as a nominated charity.
Gift Aid
If you’re a UK tax payer, Gift Aid increases the value of your donations to St John’s and allows us to reclaim basic rate tax on your gift, giving us an additional 25% from the government. If you pay higher rate tax you can claim extra relief on your donations. If you claim higher Personal Allowances or tax credits, Gift Aid donations can sometimes increase your entitlement.
By simply ticking the Gift Aid box when you donate online, or by filling in a Gift Aid form when you send us a cheque, we will receive an extra 25%, at no expense to you or us.
