Earlier this month, the charity hosted its annual Christmas Tea Party for the residents of the almshouses.
The event was a celebration of all things festive! Residents and staff were invited to take part in a Christmas hat competition, with the winner receiving a bottle of Baileys. Staff and residents also joined forces to compete in a fun and festive quiz.
One of the charity’s wonderful volunteers, Tony, provided a beautifully decorated cake – the ‘big hit’ of the day! A huge thank you to Tony for his ongoing support and for always putting on a delicious spread. We are still dreaming about the cake days later…
Finger sandwiches, mini pork pies, cakes and macarons were just some of the tasty offerings at the tea party. Residents and staff enjoyed mulled wine, festive cocktails and sherry as they toasted for a happy and prosperous Christmas and New Year.
