We empower and support our residents to enjoy comfort and companionship, living among friends and neighbours in a warm, friendly community in which people look out for each other, socialise and support one another.
Independence is a really important element of life at St John’s; we do all we can to support residents to live their lives as independently as they are able, with our dedicated staff on hand to help whenever needed.
We are passionate about ensuring residents experience real choice in their lives. Each of our residents should live their life as they wish, to their full potential. Whether their wish is for quiet time alone, or stimulation and activity, our holistic approach ensures we deliver this.
We always endeavour to support almshouse residents to remain living independently at home for as long as possible. If access and mobility at home become a concern, we will do our best to support residents to transfer internally within the charity to accommodation which may be more suitable. This is subject to availability.
