In order to comply with our charitable constitution and ensure our services provide support to those in genuine need, we operate strict entry criteria. Residents are assessed by means of a detailed financial assessment, a medical assessment, and a meeting with trustees and managers.
Our caring activities are funded largely by income derived from our endowment, held largely in the form of a property portfolio which generates income of up to £2mn per year. Any surplus after costs is pumped back into the organisation’s substantial charitable support for residents.
Additionally, we receive individual donations, mainly from relatives of residents who wish to express their gratitude for the quality care provided to their loved one.
